NVIDIA's DLSS Upscaling Arrives 'Rust' and Waves

NVIDIA's Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) is getting access to some of the most popular titles — and more games that don't rely on Windows. The company has announced that Facepunch Studios'

hit Rust is adding DLSS support on slot168 July 1. That's right on top of the game. A number of previously disclosed majors received DLSS, including Doom Eternal (which also received radiation reflections) on June 29, and unspecified Red Dead Redemption 2.

You can expect to see DLSS in more Linux titles. The driver update arriving on June 22 will enable DLSS in Vulkan-based games using the Proton compatibility layer if Windows games work. Not smooth enough on your Linux rig.

AI-powered technology could make games more fun. You'll have to wait until fall to optimize DirectX games, but this should still help with Doom Eternal and No Man's Sky.
