Making sure you have the latest software

Make sure you have the correct software version for your printer. If you are using a printer that is shared with you by other users Make sure that you are both using the same version of the printer software.

On your Mac, to see the version of the printer software you're using, choose Apple menu> System Preferences on your Mac.

Click Printers & Scanners. And select a printer.

Click Options and Accessories. And click General Note the driver version.

If you are using a network printer or a printer connected to your Mac, make sure you have the latest software version installed for your printer. If you still have problems Try using a different printer software for your printer.

If you're using an AirPort-enabled printer, you can check with the manufacturer to see if an update is available for your printer model.

If the solutions mentioned above do not work The printer job queue might be damaged. Try to erase and set up your printer again.

If you still cannot print, reset the printing system.
